The ChanvraPet Hemp Mat is a nesting medium made from the hemp fibers of the Aubiose hemp. The fibers (which are the outer layer of the hemp stem) behave differently than the pure hemp hurds in our Aubiose hemp (which is the inner core of the hemp stem). Using these mats together with your Aubiose hemp is a good combination, particularly for nesting animals, like rats, who can use the hemp fibers to make nests.
