Description
Aubiose is the most absorbent horse bedding on the market. Aubiose is a very different horse bedding, it saves you time and effort. This hemp bedding works by absorbing liquids in a small area, in the lower layer of the bedding. The layer that forms here prevents wet bedding from mixing with dry bedding. The top layer of the bedding remains pleasant, soft, and dry for your horse.
Aubiose hemp horse bedding helps reduce surrounding humidity. It is much less dusty than wood shavings-based bedding. The low dust emission is ideal for horses with allergic conditions or respiratory weakness. Thanks to its strong absorbent power and fine granulometry, our horse bedding contributes to reducing unpleasant odors.
How To Use Hemp Horse Bedding – It’s Different!
Setting up an Aubiose bed
What do you need?
- A clean stable with or without rubber matting.
- Around 7 to 8 bales of Aubiose to create your bed in an average 12 x 12 stable.
- Poop scoop or a fork.
- Wheel barrow.
1. Poo pick the bed daily. Do not dig into the bed after droppings are removed. Simply sweep the bed back
and stamp it down – any wet that has risen to the surface can be pushed down and dry bedding placed on top.
2. Every 5 to 10 days, scrape the dry layer off to reveal the wet underneath – if the base is brown pull the dry
back over and leave for a few more days – brown Aubiose is still absorbing and is what give you the perfect Aubiose base.
3. If the wet layer is red rather than brown, it’s time to remove it. Scrape any dry bedding away from this
patch, and remove the saturated Aubiose. The rest of the dry base layer should left intact.
4. Put the dry Aubiose back into the patch you just removed, pressing down to form a new base, and top up with a fresh bale if required.
5. Use the new bale to create a new bank – this keeps the bedding fresher for longer. To deep litter, just remove droppings and top up as required.
Aubiose should save a lot of time if managed correctly, and you should use no more that one bale per week even with the messiest of horses.
